EARN FREE COLLEGE CREDIT THROUGH DUAL ENROLLMENT
Through this part-time program, students can take college courses at SPC or their high school and earn credits toward high school graduation requirements and a college degree. There is no cost for application and tuition, and for Pinellas County public school and home-education students, no cost for textbooks.

Compare SPC's Dual Enrollment, Early College and Early Admission programs
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?Students enrolled in grades 6-12 in Pinellas County public schools, private schools and home-education programs, and who meet the qualifying high school GPA and College Placement Test score requirements. Pinellas County public middle school students must have at least a 3.0 unweighted high school GPA based on a minimum of seven (7) high school credits in a combination of math, science, English or social studies or at least a cumulative 3.0 unweighted GPA in a particular field of study.
NOTE: Students under the age of 15 must meet with the Home Campus Associate Provost.
WHAT'S REQUIRED TO ENROLL?
For academic courses, a 3.0 unweighted cumulative GPA or a 3.0 in the subject area to be studied at SPC
For career courses, a 2.0 unweighted cumulative GPA or a 2.0 in the subject area to be studied at SPC.
Satisfactory scores on the College Placement Test (CPT/PERT) or SAT/ACT.
For classes at SPC, signature of the high school principal on the Permission for Dual Campus Coursework form indicating the student is prepared for the dual enrollment experience.
Transportation to classes at SPC.
To remain in the Dual Enrollment program, you must maintain a college GPA of 2.0 (C average).
View participating schools and contact your high school counselor to see if you are eligible to take dual enrollment classes at SPC. If you successfully complete a dual enrollment course, you also will receive high school credit. Many Dual Enrollment classes also are offered at public and private high schools.
Federal law prohibits the college from releasing information regarding a student's progress in college courses to a third party without the student's written consent.
