What is the Day of the Dead?
The Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de Muertos) is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico, in particular the Central and South regions, and by people of Mexican heritage elsewhere. The multi-day holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and help support their spiritual journey Ovations School for the Arts is proud to announce our first annual Day of the dead dance! Come prepared to celebrate those that have come before us, and honor our loved ones in a celebration of life through death! Come dressed to impress in your favorite Dia de los Muertos attire, costumes are highly encouraged. We will dance, we will sing, we will celebrate with our ancestors. Light refreshments will be provided. This event is open to students of all ages and their parents! Cost: Advanced Tickets are $15 per person or 2 for $20, feel free to bring a friend!
